Free Thursday Night Sunset Paddles
In partnership with Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, join Riverways for beginner-friendly, free sunset paddles on the Delaware River from Cherry St Pier. These paddles are 2-3 miles round trip in single-seat kayaks, and paddlers will be provided free equipment and instruction prior to paddling. No previous paddling or swim experience needed. Paddlers must be 12+ to participate. Registation is required!
Every Thursday evening in October, 4:30pm – 7pm. A $10 donation is required to hold your seat due to limited equipment availability, donations are refundable upon arrival.

Free Fishing with Riverways Collaboration
With support from the PA Fish & Boat Commission, Riverways hosts free fishing programs at two locations in NE and SE Philadelphia. No previous experience or fishing license required, open to all ages. All equipment and instructions are provided for free, though you are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer or need help getting set up! Catch-and-release fishing only.
Free Fishing with Friends at Pier 68 with Delaware River Waterfront Corporation. Every Third Saturday, 11am- 2pm, May-November.
Free Family Fishing Nights at Glen Foerd on the Delaware. Various dates, see website for details.
